“Daddy!” Kye immediately ran over like a flying squirrel when she saw it was Ethan. She buried herself in Ethan’s arms and hugged him tightly.
“Daddy, you’re the most amazing person in the world!” She sniffled, then added on, “Master…Master is the second most amazing person!”
Ethan burst out laughing loudly, and even Peter Pan started laughing.
This little girl still loved Ethan the most.
She was like a tiny octopus as she held onto Ethan’s neck tightly and purposely furrowed her brows at Peter Pan, as if to say that she was just saying nice things in front of her father and didn’t want Peter Pan to be angry.
But of course he wasn’t angry.
“I sensed that someone came. Someone from your era.”
“Yes, someone I knew.” Peter Pan nodded. “But I didn’t want to see her.”
There was no point talking about the past and Peter Pan didn’t want to talk about it either.
“She’s now probably together with Greedy Wolf.”
“Greedy Wolf is in the Underworld, right?” asked Ethan.
Peter Pan shook his head. “I didn’t ask. I didn’t want to.”
He was always like this. He was always prideful and just refused to cooperate even if others begged him to.
Ethan didn’t say anything and just nodded.
He knew what sort of person Peter Pan was. Forcing him to do something he didn’t want to do was really too difficult.
“With regard to the water from the Longevity Pond, I’ve found a way,” Ethan moved onto the more important matter.
Peter Pan’s expression immediately changed.
“They can use it now?” he asked in surprise.
This was really good stuff, but even when someone at his level drank it, he had to go through such terrible pain. Most people wouldn’t have been able to bear this sort of pain.
The wolves were so passionate about improving themselves, but were unable to drink this magical water. That was a really cruel thing for them to go through.
These were men who were unafraid to die, men who were fiercely brave. How could he disappoint them?
Ethan wasn’t going to disappoint them.
“Yes, they can,” said Ethan. “Over the next few days, I’ll refine it for them. I’ll need you to create a formation.”
“No problem,” replied Peter Pan immediately.
He was more than happy to do anything that would help his disciples.
In fact, after seeing that Celaine was still alive and was with Greedy Wolf, he was so angry but had nowhere to vent it. Once the wolves had increased their level of prowess, he wanted to lead all of them to the Underworld for a good fight!
He wanted to teach that Greedy Wolf a good lesson!
“I need to talk to you about something first,” said Ethan. “It’s about the rest who were awakened…”
Peter Pan frowned slightly.
He knew that Ethan was referring to the men who were awakened by Greedy Wolf. They were all in deep sleep within the mountain gate, and were waiting for their chance to be woken up again.
They had an agreement with Ethan. Now that Ethan had found the Longevity Pond, it was time to wake them up.
“You don’t want them to wake up for the time being?” said Peter Pan. “I can understand why.”
“They’re from an era too far from the present. If you wake them up, they’ll become a variable and you won’t be able to control them. I wouldn’t be able to control them either.”
He knew these people.
The moment they could be revived or lengthen their lifespans like he did, they would become like unbridled wild horses and go wild.
If that happened, this world would become messy beyond anyone’s imagination. Ethan didn’t have the energy to manage these people now.
As long as Greedy Wolf was still alive, then he had to focus on dealing with Greedy Wolf first.
“We’re in a special situation now, and I need more time. It’s true that things can go out of hand if they are awoken now,” said Ethan. “But at the same time, they’re a source of power as well. In fact, you could even call them a trump card.”
The look in Peter Pan’s eyes changed.
“What plans do you have in mind? Just tell me straight. As long as it’s for the good of Princess and I can protect her, I’m fine with it.”
